This is our flagship wine, a unique block selection from the M and N parcels of the Merricks Grove Vineyard. Hand harvested, 25% whole bunch,100% wild ferment on skins with 12 months maturation in french oak. Complex black berry fruits, quince and smoky char flavours and aromas are amplified by elegant savoury tannins and long cedar and vanillin oak. This Pinot Noir is tightly structured and made for the long haul.

Harvested in late March from the M & N blocks of Merricks Grove Vineyard. Pruning; a mix of spur and cane

The fruit was hand picked in 4 sections and fermented separately : Section 1 : whole bunch Section 2 : 7-10 days fermentation Section 3 : 100% wild yeast fermentation Section 4 – soaked on skins for 4 days, then fermented
