But how does a non-alcoholic wine come to be? Once the wine is made, it obviously has alcohol in it. It is then cleaned up to be bottle ready and sent to a business that removes the alcohol by putting the wine through specialised technical membranes to remove the alcohol from the wine in the process. The composition of the wine is then changed. The winemaker then has to bring the wine back into balance using grape concentrate, specialised tannins and other winemaking tools.
