A visit to Red Hill Estate can be anything that you want it to be, which is something that my team work hard to make happen every day. You might be here to taste our newest release Pinot, to try Max’s famous Tuscan Porchetta or just to take in the view - it doesn’t matter your reason for visiting, we’re just glad that you’re here.
If you think about it - the way that most people enjoy wine is socially, and the same can be said for food. In the Cellar Door we try to think of it as fun and accessibility first - facts second, which is why we love hosting events like our Spring Winemakers Lunch.
On Sunday 8th September you’ll be able to enjoy a five course degustation menu at the Peninsula’s original winery restaurant and take in “the best view of any vineyard in the world” (Ian Sutton, Former CEO, Australian Winemakers Federation) while you learn about our vineyards, our winemaking and of course our wines!
A complimentary tasting of our current vintage wines will be available from 11am, with canapes and our classic Prosecco will be served on the lawn from 12 noon. Max will then roll out a 5 course degustation menu, which I’ve paired with a selection of both current and museum Red Hill Estate wines. We make the wine to drink, so I’m happy to break out some 2010 vintages (maybe earlier) to share amongst friends.
As always tickets are limited, so you’ll need to book via the website to guarantee your seats. Bring yourself, bring a bus of friends, however you want to enjoy your day. I’ll be there while you learn about our vineyards, our winemaking and of course our wines…with a story to share along the way.
