The Mornington Peninsula is classed as a cool climate region with moderate temperatures, high rainfall, fertile soils and maritime influence. These climatic conditions can produce wines of intense fruit flavour and quality but require specific viticultural techniques to control growth and prevent disease, maximising the effect of the long ripening season and enhancing quality.

Red Hill Wines manages a number of prized vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula. All of these vineyards aim to produce  fruit of the highest quality with labour intensive vertical shoot positioned (VSP) canopies and controlled or no irrigation.  The home vineyards are:

Red Hill Estate
The 22 acre rich soil namesake vineyard is dry grown and produces high quality sparkling base and still wines of exceptional  length and flavour. Pinot, chardonnay Pinot Meunier and Pinot Gris.

Range Road
A 50 acre vineyard in Moorooduc of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris with a variety of exciting French clones.

Tuerong Junction
A 16 acre vineyard situated just over the fence from Range Rd.  This site offers quality Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. 

Kentucky Gate
A 5 acre vineyard that consistently produces some of our best Chardonnay and Pinot fruit.  Focused and intense flavours are the product of this very uniform vineyard.

Merricks Grove
Nestled in the southern hills of Merricks this 46 acre vineyard produces Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc of real intensity and flavour.

111 Tucks Rd
This 13 acre dry grown vineyard has Pinot and Chardonnay with fantastic acid and refined fruit. Situated very close to Red Hill Estate vineyard this vineyard is a true expression of the cool climate wine the upper hills of the peninsula can produce.

Marinda Park
This 22 acre Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay vineyard is situated just out of the hills to the north of Balnarring and its maturing vines produce wine of real body and length.
